Your loved one might be able to live independently but may not be as mobile or able to do all the tasks that we normally take for granted. They might be lonely due to losing a loved one, unable to get out to see friends as much, or unable to drive to do the all-important grocery shopping and errands.
We believe that quality of life can be enhanced with support in gaining social connection and having help around the home.
If you are in a similar circumstance to what we have described, we would love to hear from you to see if we would be a suitable fit. During our initial meeting we would discuss our services available and understand all about you and your needs or the needs of a loved one.
Our dedicated, caring and compassionate support staff are fully vetted, hold an enhanced DBS certificate and complete a rigorous training programme to ensure you receive the best possible service. They are on hand to help you or your loved one to continue living their life independently in their own home and make everything just that little bit easier.
Companionship with Compassion…
Hundreds of thousands of elderly people are lonely and cut off from society in this country, especially those over the age of 75. According to Age UK, more than 2 million people in England over the age of 75 live alone, and more than a million older people say they go over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member.
People can become socially isolated for a variety of reasons, such as getting older or weaker, no longer being the hub of their family, leaving the workplace, the deaths of spouses and friends, or through disability or illness.
Whatever the cause, it’s shockingly easy to be left feeling alone and vulnerable, which can lead to depression and a serious decline in physical health and wellbeing.
At Sansum Cares, we can support with loneliness by either visiting and just having a cup of tea and a conversation, going for a walk, reading together or even supporting with transportation to local community events to encourage meeting new people helping to reduce the feeling of isolation and loneliness. This is something that is very important to us and a core value of ours.
